"The fifth issue of the journal "Folklor û Ziman" has been published. ”Folklor û Ziman” is a publication of the Mesopotamia Foundation, which comes out twice a year (April and October) and is a peer-reviewed and international journal. The journal features academic work on Kurdish folklore and language.  

In this issue of the journal, there are scientific articles, analytical studies, and book reviews. In short, the contents of this issue can be summarized in three sections. The first section contains articles by three authors who present different perspectives on the subject matter. The first work of this section is "Customs and Traditional rituals on Birth: Example of Siverek," written by Mesut Candan. The second work is "An Analysis of the Characteristics of Dengbejî(Traditional Kurdish Singing)," written by Mustafa Aslan. The last work of this section is "An Analysis of the Myth of Kawa the Blacksmith in Light of Ethno-Symbolist Theory and Ethnic Myths," written by Habibe Plattağ.

In addition, there is an analysis of works section, which features an article by Sevda Orak Reşitoğlu titled "A Comparison of the Spelling Guide of Hawar Magazine and the Kurdish Kurmanji Workshop from the Perspective of Spelling Rules." The author aims to emphasize the importance of standardizing the Kurdish language and its relationship with authentic writing. Finally, in the book review section, Berivan Matyar analyzes "Zêrka Zêra, Folk Literature of the Mardin Region" by focusing on the works of Zêrka Zêra and the common literary traditions in the Mardin region."
